Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing the Early Stage (ES) process for High Voltage Transmission and Substation projects. This includes coordinating and supporting the Engineering, Estimating, Supply Chain, and Construction resources through the pre-construction (ES) activities for Transmission and Substation projects within the Engineering and Construction Business Unit (E&C).

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project activities such as Budget, Schedule, Procurement, Engineering, Permitting, and Land
  • Ensure that each project is ready to be turned over to the construction PM with an executable construction plan (including schedule, budget, permits, risks & mitigations, etc.)
  • Lead a team of project managers and manage the portfolio for a given region
  • Develop project plans with emphasis on scope, constructability, schedule, and costs
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams that includes Development, Land, Environmental, Procurement, Legal, Engineering, Operations, Interconnection support, etc.
  • Prepare Request for Proposal documentation in order to competitively source, select and contract geotechnical, survey, engineering, material, equipment, and construction services
  • Support the cost estimating team with assumptions and delivering financial model inputs to the respective business unit
  • Own the budget and be responsible to make sure the project stays on budget
  • Manage the project schedule and communicate key risks and to management
  • Represent the E&C's interest on assigned projects, including presentations/briefing on current progress, issues and risk mitigation in meetings with various levels of management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 8+ years
  • Supervisor/Management Experience: 2+ years
