School-Based SLP Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. This part-time or full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic school-based setting, providing assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services to students with communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Treatment: Provide comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to meet the unique needs of students.
  • Consultation and Training: Collaborate with teachers, educational professionals, and parents to improve their understanding of communication disorders and provide consultation and training services.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records of student progress, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to school policies and professional standards.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Attend team meetings, IEP meetings, and other school-based meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration with colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree: A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Licensure and Certification: State licensure or eligibility for licensure in speech-language pathology and certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA are necessary.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children with communication disorders in a school-based setting is preferred.
