We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team at Tipton Hospital, part of Indiana University Health. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory testing and diagnostic services to patients.

• Perform laboratory tests on patient specimens and provide accurate and timely results.
• Maintain records of performance and adhere to quality control standards.
• Participate in research and development activities to improve laboratory services.
• Act as a key resource person for staff and provide training and guidance on laboratory procedures and techniques.
• Perform all tasks according to standard operating procedures and assume additional responsibilities as outlined by management or the laboratory director.

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related sciences.
• One year of relevant experience in a laboratory setting.
• Certification or eligibility for board certification by ASCP; AMT; NCA or equivalent certification.
• Ability to maintain quality control and other records.
• Ability to use computer to enter and retrieve test results.
• Analytical skills to make quantitative and qualitative observations.
• Ability to work independently and handle constant interruptions and concurrent tasks.
• Knowledge of all laboratory safety regulations and protocols.
