Objective:

The role involves the upkeep and repair of semi-trailers and various equipment at customer sites and roadside locations, primarily focusing on mobile service.

Additionally, the position may require providing support in the front office as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:


Diagnose, repair, and maintain semi-trailers and heavy machinery at client locations using a service vehicle equipped with air, electric, and welding tools.

Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on trailers and equipment.
Document and maintain accurate records and reports.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum of one year of experience as a certified mechanic specializing in semi-trailer or heavy truck repair.
Capability to operate a yard tractor for repositioning and parking trailers.
Possession of a valid CDL for class 8 tractor.
Ability to work independently outdoors in various weather conditions.
Familiarity with methods, materials, tools, and techniques pertinent to semi-trailer repair and maintenance.
Understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to adhere to both written and verbal instructions.
Highly organized and self-motivated.
Proficient in the use of power and hand tools.
Knowledge of welding and cutting techniques.
Must possess appropriate hand tools and safety footwear.
Valid Driver's License is required.

Educational Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:


This position regularly requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching with hands and arms, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, or other physically demanding tasks.

Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
