Responsibilities

The Inpatient Pharmacy Technician is responsible for:

  • Assisting in the refill and maintenance of automated dispensing systems.
  • Preparing medication orders and managing inventory for the pharmacy.
  • Compounding sterile and non-sterile preparations.
  • Repurposing bulk medications into unit doses.
  • Receiving and organizing incoming pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Handling incoming inquiries and acting as a liaison among pharmacy staff, patients, and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a Pharmacy Technician credential from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy prior to employment.

Education requirements include:

  • A high school diploma or GED with a minimum of two years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree, or a Technical degree.
