Are you dedicated, empathetic, and eager to positively impact the lives of those facing challenges with substance use? Stonington Institute, a part of Universal Health Services, Inc., is currently in search of a Certified Peer Recovery Coach to offer essential support and direction to clients navigating their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver peer support grounded in clinical practices to clients at The Inn at Trails Corner
- Lead both individual and group sessions aimed at assisting clients in crafting their recovery plans
- Leverage knowledge of local resources to aid clients in aftercare strategies
- Work collaboratively with clinicians, care coordinators, and community organizations to enhance clients' recovery experiences
Required Skills and Competencies
- Understanding of recovery strategies, relapse prevention techniques, and coping skills
- Awareness of community resources, including outpatient services and MAT/MOUD options
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficient in both written and verbal communication
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and effectively prioritize tasks
- Appreciation for diverse cultures and interdisciplinary treatment methodologies
