Position Overview

We are looking for skilled ICU Nurses with expertise in Neuro, Cardiac, and ventilator management. The role involves:

  • Implementing the nursing process and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care.
  • Administering prescribed medications and treatments following established nursing protocols and standards.
  • Documenting patient care in accordance with established standards.
  • Creating, initiating, and executing individualized patient care plans as directed by physicians and hospital policies, including education for patients and their families.
  • Engaging in departmental performance improvement initiatives, which may include shared governance.
  • Providing clinical expertise and support to other departments in alignment with the patient's ongoing care plan.
  • Applying critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and enhance the patient experience, escalating concerns to the appropriate channels as necessary.
Job Requirements
  • Proven experience as an ICU Nurse with a focus on Neuro, Cardiac, and ventilator care.
  • Possession of a current Illinois Nursing License, along with CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Work Schedule
  • Traveling RNs may be required to assist in the Step-Down ICU unit.
  • This role includes weekend and holiday shifts.
  • 12-hour night shifts (7 PM to 7 AM).
