Position Overview:
As a Project Engineer II specializing in Substation, Relaying, and Generation, you will play a crucial role in the engineering team, contributing to the development and execution of projects in the utility sector.

Compensation:
Salary: $95,000.00

Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two to five years of relevant experience is essential.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is required.
  • Passing the PE exam is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
The Project Engineer II will undertake a variety of engineering tasks, gaining valuable experience while working under the guidance of senior engineers. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the creation of plans, specifications, and inspection reports.
  • Supporting the preparation of material lists and labor contracts.
  • Contributing to the design and construction of Solar/Wind Farms, Battery Storage, substations, and utility interconnections, including AC/DC and low/medium/high voltage systems.
  • Managing basic administration of material purchases and construction contracts.
  • Providing guidance to designers and CAD operators within the assigned team.
  • Engaging in limited customer and vendor interactions.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in specific areas of renewable energy and substation engineering, such as physical layout design, protection/control/SCADA design, relay settings programming, field support, commissioning, and relay testing.
  • Overseeing the work and assisting in the training of Project Engineers I.
  • Utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook for various tasks.
  • Maintaining effective communication with colleagues at all levels.
  • Performing additional duties as required.
