- Shift: 12 hours
This role involves caring for patients with various cardiac conditions, including but not limited to:
- Bradycardia
- Atrial Fibrillation (A-fib)
- Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT)
- Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
- Coronary Artery Disease (CAD)
- Non-ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction (NSTEMI)
- Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD)
- Pulmonary Embolism (PE)
- Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA)/Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA)
Applicants must possess the following certifications:
- BLS
- ACLS
Experience with Epicardial pacing and chest tubes is required. Nurses will be expected to titrate drips as per ordered parameters, including:
- Cardizem
- Amiodarone
- Procainamide
- Dopamine
- Dobutamine
- Heparin
The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6, and a nursing supervisor is available 24/7. There are no ventilators or continuous BiPap on the unit, and monitor techs are available for strip interpretation.
Scheduling and Additional InformationThis position offers self-scheduling options and requires weekend rotations averaging every other weekend. Travel nurses will also participate in the holiday rotation alongside permanent staff.
