Austin, Texas, United States Method Financial Full time
About Method Financial

We're a fast-growing team of innovators who are redefining financial connectivity with real-time, read-write, and frictionless access to all consumer liability data with integrated payment rails. Our APIs are built to empower lenders, fintechs, and other financial institutions to build products that unlock a level of autonomy never before harnessed by consumers.

We've helped 2+ million users connect 30+ million liability accounts, save them millions in interest and fees, get them access to billions of dollars in personalized loans, and earn millions of points on their purchases. Our partnerships with 60+ financial institutions - including Bilt Rewards, SoFi, PenFed, Figure, Happy Money and Aven - deliver frictionless, personalized and engaging user experiences.

We're backed by investors and advisors from Andreessen Horowitz, Y Combinator, SV Angel, Ardent Ventures, Abstract Ventures, Truist Ventures, Truebill, Upstart, and more.

About the Role

As a member of our engineering team, you will own projects from end-to-end, making decisions on technical and business implications. You will have autonomy over your projects with support from the team when you need it. Your responsibilities will include building and creating with JavaScript across the platform, building delightful user experiences in React and powering them with a reliable backend in Node, investigating and debugging any issues using our monitoring & logging tools, and creating clear action items to resolve them. You will also help maintain our high technical bar by participating in code reviews and interviewing new team members. Additionally, you will collaborate with the rest of the team to define the roadmap by thoroughly understanding customers' needs.

Requirements

We're looking for a highly skilled software engineer with 5+ years of full-time experience, ideally full-stack. You should have experience building scalable production-level applications, a history of excellent projects, and experience working with some combination of Node / JS, React (or similar framework) and MongoDB / NoSQL. You should be able to clearly communicate the concepts or ideas behind your solutions, and cut big solutions into smaller bite-sized tasks. You should also be able to tow the line between moving fast and breaking things and moving slowly to get things right the first time. Technical debt is okay, we'll refactor it later. You should have natural curiosity to stay up to date with new technologies and emerging Fintech trends. Experience in Finance / FinTech, experience building data pipelines, knowledge of payment rails such as ACH, RTP, etc., and DevOps experience with AWS, Cloudflare, and CI/CD tools are all a plus.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive annual US base salary range of $185,000-$225,000, as well as a range of benefits including medical, dental, vision; basic medical plans 100% covered, unlimited PTO, stipends for WFH setup, gym/wellness, cellphone, and continued learning, student loan repayment program, commuter benefits 100% covered, lunch allowance when working from the office, 12 weeks parental leave, hybrid-office stocked with snacks, and quarterly team off-sites.
