Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Arctic Slope Native Association, Ltd. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing accurate, safe, and efficient pharmaceutical care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement treatment guidelines that address cost-effective and appropriate drug therapy.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary groups to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Assist in developing, evaluating, and reporting on Performance Improvement, Drug Utilization Evaluation, Adverse Drug Reaction reporting, and other projects.
  • Provide staff development opportunities for Pharmacy Technicians and evaluate their clinical skills.
  • Conduct and participate in clinical research and provide accurate, efficient, and appropriate pharmaceutical distribution services.
  • Identify, resolve, and prevent potential and actual drug-related problems by obtaining and evaluating medical data.
  • Communicate directly with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to relate information regarding patient drug therapy.
  • Maintain and update personal drug knowledge database to ensure accurate provision of pharmaceutical care.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required; an advanced degree (Pharm D.) is preferred.
  • Completion of a residency with a minimum of two years post-graduate clinical practice experience or equivalency in retail and inpatient pharmacy is preferred.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support card and active membership in both state and national pharmacy organizations are preferred.
  • Must have a valid unrestricted license to practice pharmacy and to dispense controlled substances within the United States.
