Job Title: Foreman - Weatherization Program

Community Action Partnership of Williston, North Dakota is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman to lead our Weatherization Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising the Weatherization Crew and overseeing the completion of Weatherization jobs.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and lead the Weatherization Crew to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
  2. Oversee the completion of Weatherization jobs, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
  3. Assist with meeting the objectives of Community Action Partnership, including supervising staff and managing resources.
  4. Develop and implement strategies to improve crew performance and productivity.
  5. Collaborate with the Program Director to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  6. Provide training and guidance to crew members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  7. Monitor and maintain equipment and tools, ensuring that they are in good working condition.
  8. Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for crew members.
  9. Participate in strategic planning and decision-making to ensure the success of the Weatherization Program.

Requirements:

  1. One year of general construction trade school or equivalent experience.
  2. Four years of full-time experience in general construction area.
  3. Past supervisory experience.
  4. Experience working with people from various socio-economic and educational backgrounds.
  5. Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
  6. Demonstrated ability to establish a positive rapport with staff, clients, and the community.
  7. Experience in planning and presenting workshops.
  8. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in written and oral forms.
  9. Technical experience in construction, electricity, carpentry, heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning.
  10. Certification in furnace repair and cleaning within two years from date of hire.
  11. General mechanical skills.
  12. Basic computer skills, including software for reporting.
  13. Certified in First Aid and CPR within one year of hire.
  14. Obtain Lead certification within one year of hire.
  15. Obtain QCI certification within two years of hire.

Work Environment:

The Foreman will work in a fast-paced environment, overseeing the completion of Weatherization jobs and supervising the Weatherization Crew. The position requires frequent travel to job sites, including scaffolding, extension ladders, and rooftops. The Foreman must be able to work in confined spaces, noisy environments, and high-stress situations.

Physical Demands:

The Foreman must be able to constantly see, sit, walk, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach horizontally and vertically, stand, bend, balance, use arms, legs, hands, and feet, and fine motor skills. The position requires frequent use of arms, legs, hands, and feet, and fine motor skills. The Foreman must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
