Job Title: Crane Operator

VetJobs is seeking a skilled Crane Operator to join our team. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating mobile cranes to lift, transport, and position materials in various work environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate mobile cranes to move and place materials, including bulk supplies, scrap metal, and experimental test articles.
  • Set up test sites, including positioning walls, shields, and other devices required for test programs.
  • Meet qualifications and standards of a Heavy Equipment Operator with at least five years of experience on earthwork and construction equipment.
  • Operate boom cranes at various outdoor locations, navigating obstacles such as trees, walls, and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Must possess a National Commission of Certified Crane Operators (CCO) Certification to operate large telescopic boom cranes in excess of 0-300 tons.
  • Must possess a valid Class A CDL endorsed for Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) and Tanker.
  • Must have 3 years of experience operating mobile cranes with lift limits in excess of 2000 lbs.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
  • The work of this position is performed in the field, where you are subject to the environment and sometimes in an environmentally controlled office environment.
  • Must be able to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Must be able to repeat the same movements for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Must have good manual dexterity.
Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a background check.
