We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Foreman to join our team at Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising technical employees, ensuring regulatory compliance, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance servicing of telecommunications equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical direction to Telecommunications Technicians
- Supervise, motivate, and train Technicians on the performance of preventive and corrective maintenance servicing of telecommunications and SCADA equipment
- Prepare, coordinate, and assign work schedules in accordance with the Tri-State telecomm maintenance program
- Provide input for employee performance evaluations to the Superintendent
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance servicing of equipment as required to ensure compliance with all NERC/FERC Regulations
- Install and test new Telecommunications, Data, Fiber Optics and EMS equipment as required
- Coordinate repair or replacement of failed equipment in order to minimize downtime
- Operate and maintain off-road and all-terrain vehicles
- Record and enter maintenance data into the computerized maintenance system
- Eight (8) years of combined education and experience in electronic field
- Knowledge of first aid and safety requirements peculiar to the electrical utility industry
- Ability to meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements
- Willingness to travel up to 75 percent of working time, including overnight travel
- Willingness to work on antenna systems and tower structures in excess of 300 feet in height
- Willingness to be on call on a 24-hour basis
- Must reside within a one (1) hour radius of the base location
- Must have a satisfactory work record
