Position Overview:
We are in search of a skilled and empathetic Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide essential services in educational settings. The OT will engage with students facing various physical, emotional, or developmental hurdles. Your responsibilities will include evaluating students' functional capabilities, crafting tailored treatment strategies, and executing interventions designed to enhance their independence and help them reach their objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough evaluations of students' physical, emotional, cognitive, and environmental requirements.
- Work collaboratively with students, families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to set treatment objectives and strategies.
- Create personalized therapy programs focused on enhancing students' functional skills, including daily living activities, fine motor coordination, mobility, and social interaction.
- Apply therapeutic techniques and tools such as exercise regimens, assistive devices, and sensory integration methods.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in assessing and treating individuals with a variety of conditions and disabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and healthcare professionals.
