Position Overview
This role is essential in providing technical support across various programs within the Electronics & Robotics department.
The selected candidate will ensure a seamless experience for students during lab activities by collaborating with faculty and staff to prepare defined lab experiences. Responsibilities include ensuring that materials are procured and ready for use, software is functional, tools and instruments are available and calibrated, and that equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) are maintained in optimal condition.
Additionally, this individual will represent the department at recruitment events.This position may also involve teaching courses to meet program needs and providing guidance to part-time lab technicians in executing their responsibilities.
LocationThis position will oversee labs at multiple campuses.
Compensation
The minimum salary for this position is $53,410, determined based on experience.

- Support recruitment and outreach initiatives
- Assist with departmental web pages and marketing efforts
- Teach program courses as required
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in automation, robotics, manufacturing operations, engineering, or technical education
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Technical skills in understanding, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems preferred
- Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with external agencies, including universities and local industries
- Capability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including telephone etiquette and a positive demeanor
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Outlook, and Excel, with the ability to learn new programs and databases
