Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welding Specialist to join our team at Morgan Truck Body LLC. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with their hands and have a passion for welding.

About the Role

The Welding Specialist will be responsible for operating a variety of welding equipment, including MIG and TIG welders, to produce high-quality truck bodies. The ideal candidate will have experience working with aluminum and steel and be proficient in reading blueprints and weld symbols.

Responsibilities

  • Welding metals according to customer requirements
  • Reading blueprints and interpreting weld symbols
  • Operating MIG and TIG welders
  • Examining equipment after welding and reporting defects
  • Supervising junior welders
  • Training new hires on welding procedures

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a welder
  • Proficiency in three or more types of welding materials: mild steel, galvanized steel, carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. welding engineering, mechanical engineering)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
