We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at St. Luke's Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with physicians and other staff to deliver high-quality medical services.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and implement patient healthcare needs, providing comprehensive care and treatment plans.
- Perform routine exams, obtain patient histories, and manage patient treatment programs based on assessment of needs.
- Initiate treatment via prescriptions, diagnostic tests, exams, and procedures, reviewing lab results and planning actions accordingly.
- Coordinate patient care, make referrals to physicians, nurses, psychologists, nutritionists, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Collaborate and communicate with other professionals, nurses, physicians, and outside agencies regarding patient care.
- Teach wellness habits and educate patients on prevention of potential health problems or methods of dealing with present problems.
- Develop educational programs for medical and/or nursing students and the general public, upon request.
- Perform administrative duties, such as writing admission and discharge orders, working with office staff regarding patient problems, scheduling, records, etc.
- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Medical Physician Assistant with current license to practice in the state of Pennsylvania or New Jersey.
- One year experience in a similar setting is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
