Culinary Artist

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our dynamic team at Christian Care Centers-Allen. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and dietary requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring food safety standards are met
• Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and develop menus
• Monitor food supplies and communicate inventory needs
• Present dishes in an appealing manner, showcasing your creativity

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior vocational or on-the-job training in a food service operation
• Continuous learning, with ongoing classes in dietary procedures, food safety regulations, and guidelines specific to assisted living and nursing home operations
• Valid food handler's permit and food manager certification approved by the State of Texas
• Minimum of six months' experience in volume cooking environments, with preference given to those with at least one year of experience
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and following English instructions
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
