University Law Enforcement Officer

Job Summary:
Under the direction of a supervisor, the University Law Enforcement Officer is responsible for providing assistance and protection to persons and property in and about Rowan University owned or leased buildings and grounds. The officer will enforce laws and regulations, provide emergency response, and maintain a safe and secure environment for the university community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce laws and regulations, including New Jersey Statutes and Title 39 Motor Vehicle and Traffic Laws
- Provide emergency response and assistance to persons and property
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for the university community
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to achieve public safety goals
- Participate in training and professional development to stay current with best practices and laws
Requirements:
- Must have completed the Basic Course for Police Officers at a New Jersey Police Training Commission (PTC) certified Police Academy
- Must pass NJ State Police background investigation and psychological test
- Must have a high school diploma and be a US Citizen
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a physical examination to determine fitness for duty
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary: WA 02E
- Minimum: $28.16
- Midpoint: $33.80
- Maximum: $45.29
