Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to patients in the Med Surg Tele and Multi Care Unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to address these needs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of Arizona.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Med Surg Tele and Multi Care Unit.
  • Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to float to other units as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation.
  • Ability to precept nursing students.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
