About the Job

This is a full-time position that requires working onsite at the OMSI location. The job involves supervising a team of security professionals, ensuring the safety and security of employees, volunteers, and visitors, and providing high-quality customer service to both the public and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership:
    • Serves as a main point of contact for security officer personnel and assists with prioritization on a day-to-day basis.
    • Supervises and mentors security team personnel, providing regular check-ins and team meetings.
  • Security Services:
    • Ensure the safety and security of employees, volunteers, and visitors while providing high-quality customer service.
    • Patrol the OMSI campus and act as a deterrent to theft and vandalism.
Work Environment

This position is non-exempt, paid hourly, and requires working evenings, one weekend day, and holidays. Some shifts may be unsupervised.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of security experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and supervise a team of security professionals. A valid Driver's license and current DPSST Unarmed Security Professional Certification Card are also required.
