Job Title: Preschool Teacher Assistant

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Preschool Teacher Assistant to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of preschool children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the teacher in developing and implementing educational activities for preschool children.
  • Work with families to promote parent involvement in the program and support the development of social and self-help skills in children.
  • Participate in pre-service training and implement approved curricula in the classroom.
  • Cooperate with other staff and classroom groups to maintain a safe and healthy developmentally appropriate environment.
  • Write weekly observations and use parent conferences to discuss the child's individual development and progress.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate.
  • National Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) for Preschool Endorsement.
  • First Aid and CPR certification within 90 days from the date of hire.
  • Successful completion of a Level II background screening, local criminal record check, health, TB, and drug screening prior to hiring.
