As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist with the Defense Health Agency, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. Key Responsibilities

Perform specialized radiologic procedures, including imaging and fluoroscopy

Operate equipment during perioperative procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient imaging

Determine technical requirements for each examination, adhering to aseptic technique and ensuring patient safety and comfort

Monitor patients for signs of distress, providing timely interventions as needed

Provide on-the-job training for Radiology residents, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development

Enter patient and examination information into CHCS/AHLTA software, maintaining accurate records and facilitating efficient workflow

Requirements

US citizenship

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

At least 1 year of experience in radiologic technology

Certified in radiologic technology

Working Conditions

This position may require rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 pounds is required. The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain current BLS certification and meet non-privileged professional credential requirements. A pre-placement medical examination and immunization screening are also required. Selectees will be required to sign a statement consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or provide a recognized exemption. This position is subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing.
