Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate scheduled activities programs for residents, ensuring a high level of engagement and participation.
- Consult with other departments to implement activities that meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents.
- Coordinate scheduled resident activities and programs, including those sponsored by community groups.
- Assist with community volunteers and work closely with other departments to maximize the level of functioning for our residents.
- Maintain accurate records of resident socialization and prepare a monthly activity schedule.
- Ensure activity areas are well-maintained and perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Ability to demonstrate effective resident supervision and utilize basic time management principles.
- Ability to recognize and communicate issues within the department, staff, and other residents.
- Ability to relate to the public, residents, families, staff, and other professionals appropriately.
- Ability to communicate well, verbally and written, and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to adhere to and communicate facility policy and procedure.
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet the requirements of the job.
- Ability to work with the elderly population and knowledge of regulations affecting resident activities.
- Ability to work with a wide range of people and needs, including marketing skills.
Exposure to blood/bodily fluids is likely.
Physical Requirements- Ability to lift 30 pounds routinely and ambulate residents safely.
