Job Overview

Monroeville Pet Hospital is a small, two-doctor, AAHA-accredited hospital seeking a full-time veterinary technician to join our close-knit team. As a veterinary technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care for canine and feline patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication with doctors, staff, and clients
  • Filling and understanding medications, and relaying directions to clients
  • Collecting and preparing laboratory samples
  • Reading urinalysis, ear cytology's, and fecal samples
  • Using a doppler for blood pressure measurement
  • Reliably placing IV catheters
  • Administering medications (IV, IM, SQ, Oral, Topical)
  • Monitoring anesthesia and recovering patients after anesthesia
  • Knowledge of normal patient parameters
  • Assisting in radiographs

Requirements
  • Previous experience as a veterinary technician
