JOB SUMMARY:

At In-Shape, our Kids Zone offers more than just a place for children to stay while their parents focus on fitness; it provides a vibrant and engaging environment. As a Kids Zone Team Member, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for children, filled with various activities, arts, books, and toys. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing space where children can thrive while their parents pursue their health goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure a secure environment by adhering to established safety protocols.
• Monitor and engage with children, overseeing their activities in the Kids Zone.
• Facilitate and partake in recreational activities that promote fun and learning.
• Read stories, teach simple arts and crafts, and lead songs to stimulate creativity.
• Encourage healthy habits through engaging activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the Kids Zone, following the In-Shape Clean Approach.
• Organize toys and materials to keep activity areas tidy.
• Support children's social development and foster positive self-esteem.
• Control access to the Kids Zone, ensuring only authorized individuals enter.
• Uphold all policies and procedures within the Kids Zone for staff, children, and parents.
• Address and resolve any concerns to meet member needs while adhering to company guidelines.
• Contribute to building a strong In-Shape community through consistent member experiences.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
• Assist in other club areas as needed.
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in preschool or daycare settings is preferred.
• A flexible and positive attitude towards meeting member expectations.
• Patience and creativity to engage with children and manage various behaviors.
• Physical stamina to supervise energetic groups of young children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work well under pressure.
• Willingness to attend required meetings and training sessions.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Bilingual abilities are advantageous.
• Current CPR certification or the ability to obtain it within 60 days of hire.
• Trustline registration is required; In-Shape will assist with this process upon job offer acceptance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This role requires frequent walking and standing for up to 8 hours a day, with occasional sitting. Employees may encounter cleaning chemicals and must wear designated personal protective equipment as necessary. Physical tasks may include lifting, carrying, or moving items up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting of heavier items.
