  • Educational Background: High School diploma, Trade School, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years in industrial mechanical or electrical roles, or completion of a two-year technical program with one year of relevant experience.

Work Environment:
  • Collaboration with mechanics and production specialists to identify and resolve quality and productivity issues.
  • Work settings may vary from clean rooms to open production areas with potential noise and moving equipment.
  • Physical demands include standing, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces for extended periods.
  • Minimal travel, typically less than 5%.

Key Responsibilities:

The Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for:

  • Machine Setup: Performing equipment/product changeovers and troubleshooting performance issues.
  • Liaison Role: Acting as a bridge between manufacturing specialists and maintenance teams.
  • Maintenance Orders: Creating and managing maintenance work orders and production log entries.
  • Skill Development: Continuously enhancing maintenance skills to keep pace with technological advancements.

Essential Duties:
  • Conducting repairs on production equipment using a variety of technical skills, including electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Supporting preventive maintenance activities and assisting during plant shutdowns.
  • Ensuring equipment readiness through daily checks and effective communication regarding repairs.
  • Maintaining a safe and organized work environment while adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
  • Utilizing computer software for work order management and communication.
  • Collaborating with team members at all levels to ensure efficient operations.
  • Evaluating equipment rejects and implementing corrective actions to minimize defects.
  • Engaging with production operators to address equipment and process concerns.
  • Performing additional related duties as required.
