Travel LPN

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Travel LPN, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical team.

The Travel Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing physical care and emotional support to patients and families under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and Medical Director. You will participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care and treatment plans, observing, reporting, and recording pertinent patient information into electronic health records.

• Provide physical care and emotional support to patients and families
• Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care and treatment plans
• Observe, report, and record pertinent patient information into electronic health records
• Administer medications within parameters defined by the Dermatology Service
• Perform nursing procedures within the parameters defined by the Dermatology Service
• Photograph patients with various skin conditions using a variety of photographic procedures, techniques, and equipment
• Participate in Quality Assurance activities and support peers and colleagues in maintaining established standards of care
• Identify patient care needs and utilize nursing resources appropriately
• Triaging of patient urgent clinical calls, which may result in scheduling patient appointments, as well as Telehealth appointments
• Inform patients of pathology, lab results, and plan of care
• Utilize In-Basket messages to monitor all biopsies and ensure that all necessary therapies are administered as scheduled by the physician
• Provide clinical nursing coverage across the Medical Dermatology specialty services
• Obtain prior authorizations for medications as needed

• Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse required
• CPR certification required
• BLS required
• Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred
• Graduate of an approved LPN program required
• Min 2+ years of LPN experience preferred
