Software Development Engineer

We are seeking an experienced iOS Engineer to join our application team at Amazon. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and building applications for the iOS platform, collaborating with a cross-functional agile team to create and ship new features, and evaluating application issues and fixing bugs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build applications for the iOS platform
  • Develop with performance, quality, and responsiveness in mind
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional agile team to create and ship new features
  • Evaluate application issues and fix bugs
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional iOS development experience using Swift, XCode, and native iOS SDKs and APIs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
