Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Manager to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of Registered Nurses in providing exceptional care to our patients.

About the Role

The Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursing unit, ensuring that high-quality patient care is delivered in a safe and efficient manner.

This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for mentoring and developing nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • To supervise and coordinate the work of registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, and other healthcare personnel assigned to this unit
  • To develop, implement, and evaluate patient care standards, policies, and procedures that ensure quality patient outcomes
  • To maintain accurate records and reports on patient care, including vital signs, medication administration, and treatment plans
  • To communicate effectively with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and family members regarding patient care and treatment plans
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in nursing required; master's degree preferred
  • Current RN licensure issued by the Board of Nurse Examiners in the State of Texas
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a registered nurse, preferably in gerontology
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
