Precision Machinist and Toolmaker

We are seeking a highly skilled Precision Machinist and Toolmaker to join our dynamic team at Top Die Casting Company. This role involves operating and maintaining various machine tools to produce precision parts, tooling, and molds.

• Machining Operations: Operate and maintain manual tooling machines, CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine the dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces.
• Precision Measurement: Use precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges, to ensure parts meet exact specifications and tolerances.
• Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of machined Tooling and Molds to identify defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Programming: Write and edit CNC programs to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
• Tooling Setup: Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for machining operations.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a machinist apprenticeship program or technical school training preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machines. Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials.
