Crime Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Crime Analyst to join our team at Holtec Security International. As a Crime Analyst, you will play a critical role in collecting and analyzing various facts, documents, and evidence related to crimes, and presenting them in a logical and organized framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct virtual patrols of public spaces to identify potential crime hotspots and suspicious activity.
  • Communicate situational awareness and observations to field units to ensure effective crime prevention efforts.
  • Evaluate activities to ensure consistency with crime prevention plans and emerging crime conditions.
  • Generate virtual directed patrol assignments and CAD tickets to track camera locations and patrol types.
  • Review recorded body-worn camera video to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Complete tasks related to video archiving for investigative, evidentiary, and regulatory purposes.
  • Design and distribute statistical reports and analyze data for various crime-related programs.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in CCTV surveillance and intelligence analysis.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency in computer systems to conduct video surveillance and complete reports.
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment.
  • Effective written communication skills to prepare findings and create reports.
Physical Demands and Abilities
  • Regularly required to talk, hear, and work with computer systems.
  • May require ability to lift office materials up to 50 pounds.
