We are seeking a skilled Grill Cook to join our team at Hy-Vee. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of foods, including hot and cold dishes, and ensuring that our cooking surfaces are clean and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare vegetables, sides, and meats, as well as breakfast foods, to meet the demands of our customers.
  • Cooking and Presentation: Cook food to the highest standards and present it in an attractive and appealing way.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other members of the kitchen team to ensure that we are providing excellent service to our customers.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
