Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Surgical Tech I to join our team at Infojini. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for assisting surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operative suite and surgical field to ensure a safe patient care environment.
  • Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures.
  • Anticipate and offer suggestions to facilitate cases.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with room setup, including opening sterile supplies.
  • Pass instruments to surgeons during procedures.
  • Maintain an organized back table and operative field.
  • Prepare sterile dressings.
  • Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization.
  • Apply principles of asepsis to ensure the prevention of infection and safety of patients and employees.
  • Prepare case carts according to procedure and preference cards.
  • Observe patients' conditions and immediately report any changes or significant findings to the physician and Registered Nurse.
  • Proactively plan for the next steps in the progression of procedure as needed.
  • Maintain a financial stewardship related to supplies and equipment.
Requirements
  • Knowledge, skill, and ability to perform procedures within the context of moderate to high acuity surgical cases.
  • Ability to anticipate and offer suggestions to facilitate cases.
  • Ability to maintain an organized back table and operative field.
  • Ability to apply principles of asepsis to ensure the prevention of infection and safety of patients and employees.
  • Ability to prepare case carts according to procedure and preference cards.
  • Ability to observe patients' conditions and immediately report any changes or significant findings to the physician and Registered Nurse.
  • Ability to proactively plan for the next steps in the progression of procedure as needed.
  • Ability to maintain a financial stewardship related to supplies and equipment.
