Job Opportunity at Cascade Industries

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a position as a professor of mathematics with a focus on numerical methods. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching mathematics courses to engineering and computer science students, as well as conducting research and developing new teaching programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching mathematics courses to undergraduate and graduate students
  • Conducting research in numerical methods and their applications
  • Developing new teaching programs and materials
  • Supervising student projects and theses
  • Involvement in academic self-administration and leadership roles within the faculty
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely related field
  • Comprehensive knowledge of numerical methods and their applications
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in German and English
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Research experience in finite elements and/or system simulation
  • Programming skills in Python and other languages
  • Experience in higher education and digital teaching formats
  • Connections to regional companies and research institutions
