Job Title: ACAS System Remediation Administrator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ACAS System Remediation Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in protecting critical infrastructure from cyber threats and ensuring the continuous, safe operation of critical systems.
This position will be part of a team of network, system, and security engineers tasked with the remediation of existing network equipment and upgrading to new equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct vulnerability scans on offline individual systems on a by-need basis.
- Perform scan policy analysis and configuration to determine the impact of vulnerability scanning against target devices.
- Ensure scheduled scans cover all of the intended assets and are being run successfully.
- Ensure scanning tools are being updated regularly, address unsuccessful updates, and identify the root cause of the unsuccessful update.
- Diagnose and resolve vulnerability scanning credential failures, false positives, scanning issues.
- Collaborate with System Engineers to build a remediation plan to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Assist in the execution of the full remediation plan.
- Coordinate and brief the RMF team to track full compliance and proper documentation.
- Fully document vulnerabilities, issues, remediation efforts, and scanning operations.
- Participate in incident response drills and contribute to the continuous improvement of response plans.
- Provide technical insights and recommendations to the customer in verbal and written reports.
- Stay current with emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
Requirements:
- Active Secret clearance required.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field such as computer science or cybersecurity; 3+ years of additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 0-2+ years of related work experience required.
- Minimum IAT Level II certification as defined and described in DoDD 8570, M, and as amended (such as Sec+ or equivalent) required.
- Experience with Tenable Nessus, Security Center, or ACAS; building, scheduling, conducting, and analyzing scans.
- Proficient in DoD STIG process and requirements.
- Installing, configuring, and administering software applications.
- Working knowledge of Computer Network vulnerability/compliance analysis software.
- Possess troubleshooting skills in problems with software and hardware.
- Possess working knowledge of DoD's IT system and network certification and accreditation processes to include system security authorization agreements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interface with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Great working knowledge of Linux and Windows administration and security.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills (i.e., ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize work, and to control and follow up to assure work completion).
- Experience with DoD STIGS, IA Tools (SCCVI, SCRI, Host Based Security System), program and Risk Management Framework.
