Position Overview:

ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES TECHNICIAN - St. Peter's Hospital - Full-time rotating shift

The primary aim of the Environmental Services team is to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients, visitors, and staff, in alignment with the mission and values of St. Peter's Health Partners. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team who is eager for personal and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push weights up to 50 pounds, with a fundamental understanding of cleaning techniques such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing.
  • Conduct thorough cleaning of rooms, adhering to established protocols to ensure all areas, fixtures, and surfaces are maintained daily or as assigned.
  • Follow infection control policies and procedures diligently.
  • Foster positive working relationships and communicate effectively with other departments, residents, families, and colleagues, responding courteously to all inquiries.
  • Report any issues encountered during daily tasks to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Director.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience in housekeeping functions and responsibilities.
  • Adherence to the SPHP Code of Conduct.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English at a minimum 6th-grade level.
  • Capability to follow both written and verbal instructions and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Physical ability to lift, pull, and push weights up to 50 pounds, along with a basic understanding of cleaning practices.
Compensation:
Pay is competitive and based on experience, skills, and education. The compensation range may vary based on location and is compliant with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
