Essential Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examinations, to identify health needs and develop effective care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and achieve quality indicators.
- Develop and implement patient education programs to promote health and wellness, and provide guidance on disease prevention and management.
- Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices in women's health and family planning.
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a nurse practitioner.
- One year of experience in women's health and family planning within the past 3 years.
- Masters Degree in Nursing (unless already a Kaiser Permanente employee who was grandfathered in prior to California Business and Professions Code requirement in January 1, 2008).
- Completion of masters program in Adult NP, Family Practice NP or Womens Health NP required.
- Registered Nurse License (California), Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number (California), Nurse Practitioner Certificate (California), Nurse Practitioner National Certificate, Basic Life Support, and National Provider Identifier required at hire.
- Must meet credentialing requirements established for nurse practitioners within the Kaiser system.
- Candidates must meet requirements to apply for PTAN (Provider Transaction Account Number) at the time of hire and apply within 30 days of hire.
