Role Overview

The Systems Engineering division is pivotal in the evolution of electromobility and digital transformation within the automotive sector. We are engaged in the development of innovative systems, architectures, and concepts with a focus on electrical and electronic systems.

As an Electrical Systems Architect, you will play a crucial role in all phases of product development, from initial pre-studies to system architecture and function development. You will collaborate with stakeholders from various technology teams, component owners, internal and external solution providers, and product owners to identify design concepts that effectively address customer requirements.

Your responsibilities will include providing technical insights for product iteration planning and developing architectural roadmaps for various electric and electronic systems in commercial vehicles. You will serve as an epic owner within the agile development framework, supporting the creation of appropriate feature and capability structures for each epic within your area of expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate the development of technical concepts at the subsystem/component level with global and cross-functional alignment.
  • Engage actively in cross-functional exchanges with other departments to deliver robust engineering solutions.
  • Conduct the necessary work to develop and establish system evolution roadmaps for various electrical architectures.
  • Author Epics and assist in the development of feature and capability structures.
  • Prepare technical reports and cross-functional specifications, detailing prerequisites and requirements and proposing system design concepts to meet them.
  • Develop embedded software specifications, electrical schematics, and block diagrams for vehicle functions related to your area of responsibility.
  • Participate in quality tool assessments, planning, and executing agreed-upon quality tasks.
  • Coordinate activities with other departments, external and internal customers, and vendors as needed to ensure the desired outcomes.

Required Skills and Experience

  • BSEE/BSME or MSEE/MSME with 1-5+ years of experience in commercial vehicle or automotive product development, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with knowledge of Electronic Hardware/Software & Supporting Infrastructure Architecture Design & Overall Development.
  • Familiarity with various communication protocols, standards, and tools.
  • Experience with software development tools, diagnostics, and production/aftermarket systems.
  • Experience working in a global/local organizational environment with cross-functional interactions.
  • Proficient in Agile methodologies and SAFe, with a solid understanding of project operations.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), SFMEA, Product Quality Assurance, and quality tools.
