Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Radiology Associates of Hartford PC. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing medical care to patients in accordance with the professional scope of practice and current state of Connecticut regulatory statutes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide competent medical care to patients, including performing interventional radiology procedures, injecting, exchanging, and removing drainage catheters, and imaging guided thoracentesis and paracentesis.
- Collaborate with the attending interventional radiologist to manage the daily workflow of the interventional radiology patient schedule.
- Participate in the management of patient care throughout the patient's visit, including admission, completing H&P and pre-procedure assessments, and performing sedation assessment.
- Order and interpret pertinent laboratory and diagnostic studies, and issue appropriate prescriptions and administer medication.
- Respond to emergencies within the radiology department and comply strictly with medical care regulations and safety standards.
- State of Connecticut Physician Assistant License
- State of Connecticut Controlled Substance License
- Drug Enforcement Agency License
- State of Connecticut Fluoroscopy Certificate
- NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) Certification
- Successful credentialing by insurance payers and medical staff offices
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS)
- BS/MA in Physician Assistant Studies, Health Science or Medical Science
