Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Crane and Hoist Technician to join our team at Hoar Construction. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our crane and hoist fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain cranes and hoists in accordance with scheduled maintenance programs
  • Perform repairs and troubleshooting on cranes and hoists, including electrical and mechanical issues
  • Oversee the erection and dismantling of cranes and hoists, including climbing and tie-in procedures
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure all equipment is properly serviced and ready for deployment
  • Travel to construction sites to provide on-site maintenance and repair services
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a Crane/Hoist Technician or Maintenance Specialist
  • Verifiable combination of education and experience equivalent to four years' experience in maintaining and repairing cranes and hoists
  • Strong background in electrical troubleshooting and knowledge of crane and hoist electrical systems
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent travel to construction sites and exposure to various weather conditions. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.
