Position Overview

Peraton is seeking a Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) Analyst with expertise in Chinese language and culture. This role is crucial for providing insights and support in the realm of information security.

Key Responsibilities

As an OSINT Analyst, your primary duties will include:
  • Delivering situational awareness and threat assessments in the information domain, contributing to intelligence products and aiding in targeting initiatives.
  • Supporting Crisis Action Teams and other operational events as necessary.
  • Creating intelligence products based on anticipated or undefined intelligence production requirements.
  • Engaging in collaborative exchanges with partners and establishing contacts to enhance intelligence support focused on information advantage.
  • Reporting any indications of harmful influence activities as needed.
Required Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience with a BS/BA; 10 years with an MS/MA; or 7 years with a Ph.D.
  • Proven experience in collecting, analyzing, producing, and disseminating OSINT.
  • A track record of reporting on indications and warnings (I&W) and supporting operational planning.
  • Expertise in conducting OSINT research while adhering to ICD 206 standards.
  • A comprehensive understanding of strategy, policy, and doctrine related to intelligence and cyberspace operations.
  • Proficiency in the Chinese language and culture as required by the government.
  • The ability to translate multimedia content from the target language into English.
  • Capability to generate intelligence reports in accordance with ICD 206 standards, ensuring high accuracy in spelling and grammar.
  • Completion of OSINT qualification courses (OS301 and OS302) or the ability to complete them within a specified timeframe.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Recorded Future, Silo, and Managed Attribution.
  • An active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph and the ability to obtain MEAD.
Preferred Qualifications

Ideal candidates may also have:
  • Experience in Offensive and Defensive Cyberspace Operations, Information Operations, Computer Network Operations, and Electromagnetic Warfare.
  • Relevant certifications such as DoD 8140/8570, NET+, SEC+, PEN TEST+, CNNA+, CEH, or higher certifications like CISSP.

Compensation

The target salary range for this position is $112,000 - $179,000, reflecting the typical compensation based on experience and other relevant factors.
