About the Role

Vensure Employer Solutions is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Technician to join our team as a Commercial Systems Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading HR technology and service provider, serving over 95,000 businesses and processing over $135 billion in annual payroll.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform Test, Adjust, and Balance (TAB) on commercial HVAC systems. As a TAB Technician, you will use specialized testing equipment and procedures to ensure efficient delivery of airflow, temperature, and humidity in each room served. Your precision and attention to detail will enable us to achieve a comfortable environment for occupants while minimizing energy consumption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Mechanical Systems utilizing specialized testing equipment
  • Punctuality for job site arrivals, typically at 7:00 a.m., or as otherwise directed
  • Effective communication with other trades, such as Controls, Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.
  • Maintain proper job site etiquette and follow OSHA safety guidelines
  • Review job specifications, scope of work, submittals, blueprints, and safety requirements
  • Meet project-specific deadlines
  • Ongoing training to become a NEBB Certified Technician
  • Accurate reporting of test data

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent driving record
  • Able to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Strong desire to learn a new career
  • Ability to travel, with occasional out-of-town work required
  • Good mechanical and mathematical aptitude
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and high self-accountability and integrity
  • Excellent time management, critical thinking, and organization skills
  • Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Obtain OSHA 10- Construction Safety & Health online certificate before starting employment

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Average lift capability of approximately 20 lbs, maximum unassisted lift of 50 lbs
  • Ability to work from heights and off ladders up to 40 feet
  • Comfortable walking on or near construction sites, taking around 6,000 steps per day
  • Full operational use of both hands and feet, full vision and hearing
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety vests, eye protection, steel-toed boots, and company uniforms
  • Safe operation of commercial vehicles

This role offers a competitive salary of approximately $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
