We are seeking a highly skilled Physician to join our team at Longleaf Neuro Medical Treatment Center. As a Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our patients, including evaluating and treating acute and non-emergent illnesses, injuries, and other medical problems.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with acute and non-emergent illnesses, injuries, and other medical problems
- Provide unit coverage in the event of physician absences
- Participate in the call schedule, typically 1:4 by phone coverage
- Review all laboratory results, EKGs, X-rays, consultations, and other clinical data/reports and order appropriate treatment and/or further studies as indicated
- Perform timely follow-up assessments
- Document regularly and as resident conditions change
- Attend and participate in Treatment Team meetings
- Attend weekly Medical Staff meetings
- Communication and collaboration with Multidisciplinary Team and Medical Director
- Attend Medical Education programs and complete ongoing reading/study to maintain current competency
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of North Carolina
- Thorough knowledge of the theory, principles, and practices of general, preventive medicine and of the techniques involved
- Thorough knowledge of the practice and theories of the medical specialty or subspecialty to which assigned
- Thorough knowledge of interpreting laboratory results (including basic x-ray interpretations and evaluation of lab results), clinical data and information relative to the patient's condition
- Ability to compile clear and concise notes for patient's charts and to make oral presentations of cases in medical conferences
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associate personnel, patients, and their families, and the general public
