Salary Information

We offer competitive day rates for experienced deckhands, with schedules consisting of 28/14 or 20/10. The estimated salary range is $50,000 to $80,000 per year.

Job Description

As an Experienced Deckhand, you will be responsible for safely securing barges with cables, wires, and lines while being environmentally conscious. This includes handling lines and rigging during tow building, locking, and docking activities. You must also be able to perform all duties necessary to navigate locks, inspect and correct conditions that affect safety, and assist with training newly hired employees. Additionally, you will be responsible for upkeep of the vessel's appearance, including washing, chipping, and painting, as well as daily vessel housekeeping (sweeping, mopping, and cleaning crew living quarters). Adherence to company policies, United States Coast Guard regulations, and environmental regulations is mandatory.
