As a skilled nursing facility speech-language pathologist, you will help patients with swallowing, speaking, understanding, and other speech-related tasks they need to function. You will review medical histories, develop and implement speech therapy treatment plans, recommend equipment, monitor patient progress, and more. You will play a critical role in helping patients who are ill, injured, or disabled regain independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized speech therapy treatment plans
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs
  • Provide speech therapy services to patients, including swallowing, speaking, and understanding
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
