Dental Care Alliance is seeking a dedicated Dental Hygiene Assistant to enhance our clinical team by delivering exceptional patient care and satisfaction in a collaborative environment. This role encompasses a range of clinical responsibilities within dental office operations, providing ample opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement. A commitment to outstanding customer service and effective communication is essential for success in this position.
Work Schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 7:50 AM - 5:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:The following duties are associated with the role of Dental Hygiene Assistant; however, additional responsibilities may be assigned:
- Collects and organizes completed patient documentation, including medical history.
- Prepares and cleans treatment rooms, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Maintains and sterilizes dental equipment and instruments.
- Adheres to office policies, including compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
- Welcomes and guides patients to and from treatment areas.
- Conducts routine cleaning and maintenance tasks as scheduled.
- Reviews patient medical histories and inputs data into the system, asking initial consultation questions and recording necessary information.
- Capable of taking clinically appropriate X-rays.
- Obtains and reviews consent forms for patient treatments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Completion of a Dental Assisting Program is preferred, and X-ray certification is mandatory.
