Account Manager Job Description

At Universal Forest Products, we're seeking a skilled Account Manager to join our team. As an Account Manager, you'll play a critical role in driving sales growth and building strong relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with current customers
  • Identify customer needs and provide solutions
  • Generate new sales by promoting our product line to new and existing customers
  • Troubleshoot problems for customers
  • Qualify customers' creditworthiness
  • Monitor sales market in assigned region
  • Prepare various reports as required
  • Manage accounts receivable
  • Participate in month-end inventory
Requirements:
  • Preferred bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
  • Preferred minimum of five years experience selling wall panels, roof/floor trusses, stair kits, and/or turnkey framing packages
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and other software for business applications
  • Preferred manufacturing background, but not required
