About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dishwasher/Utility Worker to join our team at Sodexo, working within the Delta Sky Club Lounge at Jacksonville International Airport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Wash dishes by hand or place them in a dishwashing machine, ensuring all items are sanitized and ready for use.
  • Wash work tables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a clean environment.
  • Sweep, mop, clean, and vacuum floors to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Remove trash and garbage to designated areas, adhering to waste management procedures.
  • Transfer supplies and equipment within and between storage and work areas, such as the pantry and dish room.
  • Clean equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards are met.
  • Polish silverware to a high shine, maintaining the appearance of the kitchen and dining areas.
  • May wash pots and other kitchen equipment, ensuring they are clean and ready for use.
  • Attend all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training to stay up-to-date on the latest procedures and protocols.
  • Comply with all Sodexo HACCP policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner, following established protocols.
  • Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Be willing to learn and grow, taking on new challenges and responsibilities as needed.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and a professional demeanor, even in challenging situations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
  • Comply with any dress code requirements, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
Requirements
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • 1 to 2 years related experience in a food service or dishwashing environment.
Skills and Aptitude
  • Presents self in a highly professional manner to others, understanding the importance of honesty and ethics in the workplace.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with colleagues and other departments.
  • Ability to use a computer, with basic knowledge of software and systems.
Physical Requirements
  • Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
  • Significant walking or other means of mobility, with the ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.
